February 7th: CVS acquires two practices in Cleveland, Teeside.
CVS has acquired the businesses of The Avenue Veterinary Surgery, Redcar,
Cleveland and The Rosslyn Veterinary Centre, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough. Each
business will be managed by its previous owner, and details are noted below.
These are both well established practices with good local reputations, which we
aim to build on.
This is the first stage in our development of a cluster of practices in the
Cleveland area.
Clive Teare will be Clinical Director at The Avenue whilst Ed Macholc, assisted
by his wife Laura-Jane Macholc will be responsible for Rosslyn.

February 28th: CVS acquires a new veterinary practice in Diss, Norfolk
CVS has acquired the business of The Linden House Veterinary Centre, Diss, Norfolk. This was originally a mixed practice but the previous owner, Ruth Vernon, has retained the Farm Animal side whilst selling the Small Animal and Equine business to CVS. The practice will be managed by Roger Bannister, BVetMed, MRCVS, who has been the senior small animal vet in the practice since 1992. This is a well-established practice in newly built facilities, less than half a mile from the CVS Head offices.
