March 2004
CVS is now developing a considerable presence in the Midlands with existing
practices in Telford, Bewdley, Cleobury Mortimer, Cannock and Bloxwich near
Walsall.
We are now pleased to announce that CVS (UK) Ltd have acquired three of the four practices which form the Ark Veterinary Clinics, centred around the St. John's Street Clinic in Long Eaton, near Nottingham. They were part of a business run by Andrew Robinson, past president of the Society of Practicing Vets, and his wife Alison. The Robinson's set up an MRI scanner recently and together with Andrew's other referral work, they have decided to concentrate their efforts on this part of their business, based at Castle Donnington.
CVS have appointed Stephen Hall-Patch as interim Clinical Director. He will be responsible for the three branches located at Long Eaton, Chilwell, (Nottingham) and Shepshed (Loughborough). Stephen has been with the group since selling his Castle View Veterinary Hospital in Wakefield to CVS in 2000. For the past year he has been working in the Johnston Veterinary Clinic in Wellingborough.
The proximity of these practices has allowed the formation of a cohesive CVS Midlands group, providing the opportunity for internal referrals and shared out-of-hours services.
There will also be opportunities for career development within this area, for both veterinary and nursing staff.
