Surgical facilities

The operating theatre is used for sterile surgical procedures. It is equipped with anaesthetic machine, stainless steel operating table, powerful lights to illuminate the operating field and scrub sink where the surgeons prepare themselves for sterile surgery.

All our nurses are fully trained in anaesthetic monitoring and assist the surgeons while they operate.

Many routine operations such as cat and dog sterilisations,  removal of tumours and wound repairs are performed as well as a range of soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. Fractured bones are fixed by inserting stainless steel pins or  plates and  ruptured cruciate ligaments are repaired by stabilising the knee joint with artificial ligaments.
Using modern anaesthetic agents recovery is usually rapid and patients can often be returned home on the same day, so that they will be secure in their own surroundings.
