William Taylor BVMS CertAVP(GSAS) MRCVS William (39) graduated from the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 1999. He became Clinical Director of Springfield Veterinary Group in 2007. Springfield is a large group of veterinary practices in South Yorkshire employing nearly eighty staff. His clinical interests lie in small animal surgery, especially minimally invasive (key-hole) surgery. He is one of a handful of Veterinary Surgeons with extensive experience in this area and has fully integrated the service into the group. He recently became an RCVS advanced practitioner in small animal general surgery. During his time as Director William led a team that re-gained hospital status, started an in house new graduate training program and has seen consistent growth over nearly a decade. Recently he has overseen full refurbishment of the hospital site, introduced a CT service, added certificate holders in a number of disciplines and developed a successful night service for many local practices. William believes training and development of staff are the cornerstone of practice growth and job satisfaction. He is very proud of the excellent team at Springfield as they continue to evolve and develop the practice.
