We are committed to ensuring that our pay is competitive in the marketplace. To do this, all roles are benchmarked against industry data and salaries are reviewed annually which ensures that pay is competitive for the role you do.
We run a competitive bonus scheme that rewards great all round performance.
All staff receive a minimum of 33 days annual leave a year (pro-rata), including an allowance for bank holidays. Employees can then purchase up to a further 2 weeks holiday through our holiday buying and selling scheme.
Long Service Awards
Employees also receive long service awards of an extra day’s holiday for every five years’ service up to a maximum of five days.
By becoming a CVS employee you will also be enrolled into our company pension scheme, a scheme which all eligible employees are required to be a part of. CVS will also contribute towards your pension fund alongside your own payments, helping you build up your savings for retirement.
Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Leave
CVS employees receive 10 weeks of 100% pay and 50% pay for another 10 weeks on maternity leave and 50% pay for two weeks on paternity leave.
Company car/Car allowance
If you’re joining us in a field-based or regional role, we’ll provide you with a company car. For some roles we offer a car allowance, which will be highlighted in the relevant job description for the role.
For some positions and practices, accommodation may also be available as part of your package.
For some positions, a relocation support package may also available, to help support you when moving to a new area.

For specific positions, you can receive private healthcare – giving you access to the benefits of private healthcare.
Save As You Earn (SAYE)
As an employee of CVS you are in the unique position of being able to benefit personally from the company’s potential future growth and resulting prosperity by joining the Save as You Earn (SAYE) Scheme. Employees can choose to save as little as £10 a month up to a maximum of £170 a month – saved in a convenient way taken directly from your salary, enabling you to buy shares if you wish to do so at the end of your SAYE contract.

Cycle to Work
To encourage more people to commute by bike the government has created a tax relief scheme that offers huge savings on the cost of a new bike and safety equipment. This cost can be spread over a year and you benefit from the tax and national insurance savings of up to 42%. Bikes can be from over 1,950 retailers nationwide.
Discounted gym membership
As an employee of CVS you will be able to purchase gym membership at discounted corporate rates from over 2,000 participating health clubs gyms and leisure centres. Saving up to 50% on the cost of membership for you and your partner even if you are already an existing gym member.
Discounted treatment for your pet
To help with the cost of veterinary care for your pets we offer employees discount on the total bill for treatment and also cost price drugs and consumables. Employees also receive discounts on the cost of pet food.
Recommend a Friend Rewards
CVS employees who successfully recommend a friend or family member for employment in CVS can receive a referral bonus of up to £3,000.
Animed Direct is our online veterinary dispensary, CVS employees are able to benefit from discount on animal medicines, products and food.

We all have times in our life when we need a little extra support. That is why CVS have teamed up with Health Assured to provide a service that’s there to help you take care of your emotional health. The Employee Assistance Helpline is a free, confidential telephone support line that is open to you and your family 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
