CVS Group recognises that efforts are vital to continually improve patient care and provide support to practice teams and is proud to share its first 2018 Quality Improvement and Clinical Governance Report.
CVS is committed to ensuring that high clinical standards, providing the best patient care and supporting their colleagues is at the heart of everything they do and is passionate about promoting and developing Quality Improvement (QI) and Clinical Governance within the group practices to achieve this.
This report shows how QI and Clinical Governance have been established within CVS, with numerous examples of QI in practice and some of the actions and guidance which have been put into place, to support practices to make improvements. There are over 300 Head of Practice QI members that have attended training courses, supporting the delivery of the QI strategy. Roadshows were also held, with over 600 clinical leaders in attendance, whose feedback helped to drive the agenda.
The impact has been considerable over the last 12 months with many positive changes in practices such as significant event reporting, practice QI meetings and numerous audits and resulting actions.
Richard Killen BVSc MRCVS, Director of Clinical Services commented: “I am grateful to all the practice teams for their great support in promoting QI and Clinical Governance within their own practices and helping CVS become one of the world leaders in this field.”
