Harbour Veterinary Group opens third new practice in Portsmouth
7th August 2025
CVS’ owned Harbour Veterinary Group has opened the doors to a third newly-relocated practice in Portsmouth .
This July, its Harbour Veterinary Hospital site in North End was relocated to a large new purpose-built 7,235 square foot building on Anchorage Retail Park on Portsea Island.
Within the last two years, Harbour Vets Havant and Harbour Vets Southsea have also been moved to brand new buildings within Portsmouth and the surrounding area. Over £3m has been invested in the three new sites in total.
The new Harbour Veterinary Hospital site will enable the group to increase the number of clients it serves and significantly expand the range of clinical services it offers to pets in the region.
The modern hospital building is all on one level and houses the latest veterinary facilities and equipment. Six consulting rooms have been installed to offer a greater number of appointments, along with two state-of-the-art operating theatres with the latest veterinary equipment. The site also houses a new CT scanner, dental suite, digital x-ray facilities, in-house laboratory and isolation ward for very sick animals.
To keep stress to a minimum for patients, the practice has a spacious reception area with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, in addition to separate dog and cat hospital wards. New walk-in kennels have also been built for larger dog breeds alongside a purpose-built dog exercise area.
Harbour Veterinary Hospital’s large clinical team will collectively offer an increased range of veterinary services, whilst its patient care assistants and receptionists will look after the practice’s increased number of clients and their pets. Gabriella Williams, the granddaughter of CVS’ founder Brian Pound, will also work at the site as a veterinary surgeon, continuing the family’s legacy in delivering great veterinary care.
