CVS is pleased to announce that it has acquired Fernside Veterinary Centre Limited on 9th November 2023.
Fernside is a first opinion, small animal veterinary practice in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, which has been established since 1996.
The practice has an excellent local reputation, with long-standing staff, including an experienced team of 15 vets, nurses, patient care assistants and receptionists.
The founder and former owner of the practice, Robyn Farquhar, will remain at the practice as Clinical Director.

The practice has an excellent local reputation, spacious facilities, and an experienced team of 18 vets, nurses, patient care assistants and receptionists.
The owner of the practice, Danielle Greenberg, will remain at the practice as Clinical Director.

CVS is pleased to announce that it has acquired Top Vets Ltd., which trades as Riverside Veterinary Practice, also known as Riverside Vets, on 25th May 2023.
Riverside Vets is a first opinion, small animal veterinary practice near Edinburgh which has been established since 1981. The main hospital site is situated in Livingston, with two smaller sites in Armadale and Bathgate.
The practice has an excellent local reputation, with long-standing and loyal staff, including an experienced team of 14 vets.
Graeme Sherriff and Mandy Clarkson are the former owners of the practice. Graeme will be staying on full time as Clinical Director and Mandy will be exiting the business after a six-month transitional period to begin her well-deserved retirement.

The acquisition of Brunswick Place Vets enables us to welcome 15 new colleagues to our company. Ravinder Bullar and Julia Vile are the former owners of the practice and will both be staying on as Clinical Directors.
We are pleased to announce that East of England Veterinary Specialists has joined CVS on 28/02/2023.
East of England Veterinary Specialists is a specialist-led orthopaedic referral practice in Royston, Cambridgeshire. The practice has an excellent reputation with two well respected orthopaedic surgeons – Mark Bush and Martin Owen.
Mark and Martin are both RCVS recognised specialists, and Mark is the Vice-Chairman of the British Veterinary Orthopaedics Association. Both are staying on with the practice post acquisition as Clinical Directors.
The practice operates from one modern, well-equipped site with excellent facilities.
On 10th March 2020 Stewart Vets joined the CVS Group. Stewart Vets is a two site small animal practice situated around Dudley.
Stewart Vets employs around 10 staff. The previous owner, Mr Peter Stewart, will be staying on post completion.
On 19th November 2019, Newnham Court joined the CVS Group. Newnham Court is a single site small animal practice situated in Maidstone.
Newnham Court employs 78 staff. Of the six previous owners, Mark Fosbery; Jon Camilleri; Nigel Davis; and Martin Smith will be continuing post-acquisition. John Kenward and Peter Brown will not continue post-acquisition.
On 19th September 2019 Dierenkliniek Gooiland, joined the CVS Group. Gooiland is small animal and equine site.
Gooiland employs around nine staff. The previous owner Mr LP Van Gorkom will continue four days per week post acquisition as Clinical Director.
8th August 2019 Lissenhall Veterinary Hospital joined the CVS Group. Lissenhall is a three site small animal practice situated in Swords, Dublin.
Lissenhall employs around 14 staff. The previous owners will be staying on post completion – Denis O’Shea; Gary Gregan; and Maurice Harvey.
24th June 2019 Cinder Hill Equine Clinic joined the CVS Group. Cinder Hill is a single site equine practice situated in Horsted Keynes, West Sussex.
Cinder Hill employs around 11 staff. The previous owners will be staying on post completion, Micheal Barrott BVSc Cert EP Cert AVP (ES-O) MRCVS and Dan Carroll MA VetMB MRCVS.
On 2nd April 2019 Coen Dierenarts, joined the CVS Group. Coen is small animal site.
Coen employs around eight staff. The previous owners Coen Dekker will continue full-time post acquisition as Clinical Director.
On 6th December 2018 Beech House Veterinary Surgery joined the CVS Group. Beech House is a single site small animal practice situated in Radcliffe, Manchester.
Beech House employs 21 staff. The previous owner, Shaun Alcock will be continuing post acquisition, taking on the role of Clinical Director.
On 5th December 2018 Silverton Veterinary Practice joined the CVS Group. Silverton Vets is a three site small animal practice situated around Paignton.
Silverton Vets employs 23 staff. The previous owner, Cath Meakin will be continuing post acquisition, with Cath taking on the role of Clinical Director.
On 29th November 2018 Yew Tree Veterinary Centre joined the CVS Group. Yew Tree Vets is a single site small animal practice situated in Manchester.
Yew Tree Vets employs 11 staff. The previous owner Frank Maguire will be continuing at the practice as an assistant vet.
On 16th November 2018 Ashfield Veterinary Surgery joined the CVS Group. Ashfield Veterinary Surgery is a single site mixed animal practice situated near Durham.
Post-Acquisition the large animal work will be taken over by Castle Vets and Ashfield will continue to run as a small animal site.
Ashfield Veterinary Surgery employs 10 staff. The previous owners, Alasdair Tait and Christopher Davis will be continuing post acquisition, with Alasdair taking on the role of Clinical Director.
On 14th November 2018 Boundary Veterinary Clinic joined the CVS Group. Boundary Vets is a single site small animal practice situated in Manchester.
Boundary Vets employs four staff. The previous owners, Philip Relph BVM&S MRCVS and Katy Relph will be continuing post acquisition.
On 13th November 2018 Bond Street Veterinary Clinic joined the CVS Group. Bond Street is a single site small animal practice situated in Macclesfield.
Bond Street employs around 21 staff. The previous owners James McCance, Susan McCance and Jonathan Harper will all be staying on post completion.
On 12th November 2018 Pinfold House Veterinary Clinic joined the CVS Group. Pinfold House is a single site small animal practice situated in Misterton, Doncaster.
Pinfold House employs around 10 staff. The previous owner will be staying on post completion, June Turner BVMS MRCVS.
On 8th November 2018 St Elmo Veterinary Clinic joined the CVS Group. St Elmo is a single site small animal practice situated in Derry, Northern Ireland.
St Elmo employs around 10 staff. The previous owner will be staying on post completion, Emma-Jane Hunniford BVetMed MRCVS.
On 5th November 2018 Harrier Veterinary Surgery joined the CVS Group. Harrier Vets is a single site small animal practice situated in Southampton.
Harrier Vets employs around six staff. The previous owner, Richard Hatton BVSc MRCVS will be continuing post acquisition as Clinical Director.
