Our ambulatory veterinary surgeons are supported by a team of over 20 recognised Veterinary Specialists in fields including medicine, surgery, dentistry and diagnostic imaging. Based within a network of referral centres, the Specialist team provides a first class service to referring vets and a multi-disciplined approach to the treatment of all equines, from donkeys and pleasure horses to elite athletes.

Through an unrivalled commitment to investment in equipment, facilities and research, all of our practices are able to offer the latest veterinary treatments, diagnostic services, advice, standards and support.

CVS Equine is an open, cooperative and collaborative environment where our practices work together and support each other.

Equicall

Equicall is an out-of-hours service providing additional experienced vets to cover out-of-hours equine emergencies. It was the first dedicated equine out-of-hours service to launch in the UK.

The service started with two vets in East Sussex in 2019, and has now grown to more than 30 vets covering all of the South East and South West, with growth into South Wales, the Midlands and Yorkshire.

Our Equicall vets start a working week on Monday at 5pm and cover the nightshift until 8.30am. They also cover full weekends, from Friday night to Monday morning and Bank Holidays. They can provide either full-time or week-on-week-off service.

Our team’s aim is to provide continuity of care and we see ourselves as an extension of member practices’ teams. We help to support these practices and provide valuable improvement in work-life balance, helping their recruitment and retention of equine vets.
