We aim to attract, develop and retain the best people and to be the veterinary company people most want to work for. We want to be a great place to work and have a career. We empower all of our colleagues to make the right clinical decisions for our patients. And we are significantly investing in facilities, equipment and industry-leading continued professional development to support our teams.

Our Values - We aspire to an environment that promotes:

Just culture

Fairness, openness and learning by helping people feel confident to speak up when things go wrong, rather than fearing blame.

Accountability

High levels of ownership of the quality of clinical activities by setting clear expectations, ensuring open lines of communication, and ensuring honest leadership.

Teamwork

Collaboration, cooperation and trust are at the heart of thinking, planning and decision making.

Inclusive leadership

Values team members, invites diverse perspectives, welcomes challenge, and creates an environment where people recognise that their individual opinions and contributions improve the clinical outcome and wellbeing of patients, owners and colleagues.

Systems thinking

The problem-solving approach that recognises that processes are often a web of complex and connected systems. It explores the way that these constituent parts function and influence each other over time and within the context of larger systems.

At CVS, we recommend and provide the best clinical care every time.

We believe this is what drives the success of our practices. We aim to deliver the highest standard of healthcare and empower our colleagues to make the right clinical decisions for our patients. We support and develop our teams to be the best in their role, which includes access to industry-leading learning, education and development supported by a diverse team of learning professionals, and an engaging educational platform.

We are a great place to work and have a career.

Our practices benefit from the strengths of operating within a group that at every level is run by vets and non-clinical leaders. Our front-line first opinion vets are backed by a specialist team offering unique expertise, experience, and advice to practices, to continuously improve the standard of care that patients receive. We also have pioneering referral hospitals that can provide the most complex treatment or procedures.

The breadth of our business means we offer a vast range of career opportunities, and we are pleased to see many of our people taking advantage and developing their career throughout our company – for example in more specialist roles, or in management. All our practices and people are supported by experts in IT, HR, payroll, health & safety, recruitment and procurement, leaving them free to focus on caring for our patients.
