CVS has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Steve Scully, formerly Director of its Practice Division, to the role of Acquisitions Director and with the appointment of new joiner Karyn MacKenzie as his replacement as Director of the Practice Division.
In his new role as Acquisitions Director, Steve Scully, who has played a key role in building CVS’ Practice Division in recent years, will take responsibility for CVS’ acquisitions in the UK and Europe and for the identification and delivery of new greenfield surgery locations within the UK. As Director of the Practice Division, Karyn MacKenzie will be responsible for the performance and development of the company’s 119 practices and 342 sites across the UK. Both directors report to Simon Innes, Chief Executive.
An experienced senior director, Karyn MacKenzie joins CVS from the human health sector. In her most recent role she was a Regional Director for BMI Health, one of the largest private health care providers in the UK, and was responsible for 15 acute hospitals, employing more than 1,500 staff and with a combined turnover of £220 million.
Simon Innes said: “Steve Scully has made a huge contribution to our Practice Division over many years. In his new role, he will bring his skills, experience and detailed understanding of CVS to our Acquisitions Team. Karyn MacKenzie is highly experienced director with extensive experience in the healthcare, leisure and retail industries. We are delighted to welcome Karyn and wish them both great success in their new roles.”
